Bast Phones Realme 6 Pro Review and Dual Punch Hole Camera

Hello and welcome to ReviewPK! My name is Ameer. And this is, our unboxing of Realme6 Pro and our first impressions, Realme 6 Pro is the top phone from Realme's 6 series before it, we saw the Realme 6i , along with Realme 6 so, 6 Pro is basically a flagship device of Realme. And in this phone, Realme has given quite an aggressive feature set. The phone will launch in Pakistan with 8GB RAM and 128GB built-in storage. And if we talk about its price, as always, it will be confirmed in the launch event of Realme. But my speculations is, that the price should be around Rs. 50,000 - 55,000. If we talk about the colours, Realme 6 Pro will arrive in 3 colours Lightening Blue, Lightening Orange, and our device today, which is Lightening Red. Now, lets move on to the unboxing but before that if you are liking this video so far don't forget to give it a thumbs up. Bast Realme 3 Pro vs Radmi Note 7 Pro Camera Detailed

Hey Guys It's Sagar from Tecworkz. And here is the video you guys have been waitingfor, a detailed camera comparison between the Realme 3 Pro and the Redmi Note 7 Pro. Right now, these 2 look like the best optionsfor someone having a budget of under Rs.15,000. And more often than not, while making a choicebetween 2 smartphones, it comes down to which one has a better set of cameras. The debate of which one has a better cameratook a whole new turn, with with the launch of OnePlus 7 and 7 Pro. Yes you heard me right. People are arguing about which one has a bettercamera, the Realme 3 Pro or the Redmi Note 7 Pro, based on some other phones that justcame out. Confused? Let me put a bit of perspective on this.

Realme 3 Pro come with the Sony IMX519 sensor, which is the same one used in OnePlus 6T. Whereas the Redmi Note 7 Pro comes with theSony IMX586 sensor, which OnePlus used on their latest phones the OnePlus 7 and 7 Pro. So people are arguing that newer Sony IMX586sensor on the Note 7 Pro is better than the older Sony IMX519 sensor on the Realme 3 pro. Let me tell you, the results are not as simpleas that. There are a lot of other variables like theimage signal processor, number and quality of the lenses, aperture size, colour science, software processing and a lot more that, goes into deciding how the resulting images willturn out. And every manufacturer have they own way ofhandling each of these things.

So even the results from same sensors packedin 2 different smartphones might not be the same. There is no doubt that the Redmi Note 7 Pro,like all of its previous generations, has got one of the best cameras on a budget devicefor its time. And I have shown in previous videos that itis capable of taking on smartphones, which are priced much higher than it. But in my last video, we saw that the Realme3 Pro also has a great set of cameras, which makes this comparison a very interesting one. By the way if you want to watch the individualcamera reviews of both these phones, I will leave a card to them on the top right cornerof the screen and also link them in the description section. Now we need to go through lot of image andvideo samples, so instead of me telling you all the specs, I will list them down in thisslide.

You can pause the video and go through themif you like. Both the phones offer Pro or expert mode,if you want a better control over various settings like white balance, shutter speed,ISO and focus. On the Note 7 Pro, range of ISO is from 100-3200and the range for shutter speed from 1/1000th of a second all the way up to 32 seconds. While on the Realme 3 Pro, renege of ISO issame that is 100-3200, and the range for shutter speed is from 1/8000th of a second to 16 seconds. With that out of the way, lets get to theimage and video samples from both these phones. But before that, if you are new to this channel, why don’t you take a few moments to hit the subscribe button and the bell icon nextto it.

That way, you won’t miss out on any of theamazing videos coming up on this channel. Starting with the daylight images. Both of them capture lot of details, and theimages look really good from both. Images from the Realme 3 Pro are slightlymore saturated. There is a chroma boost mode if you want thecolours to pop out even more, but for me those images look over saturated. Even on the Note 7 Pro, you can head overto settings, and adjust the contrast and saturation levels to the way you like it. Realme 3 Pro captures native 16 megapixelimages, while the Note 7 Pro uses pixel binning to capture a 12 megapixel image with its 48megapixel sensor.

When we zoom in, you can see there are slightlymore details in the 12 megapixel images of the Note 7 Pro compared to 16 megapixel imagesfrom the Realme 3 Pro. In some of the images, difference is veryapparent, where you can clearly see sharper images from the Note 7 Pro. While in others, the difference is very littleand you can barely see it, even if you zoom in 3-4 times. You can also take 48 megapixel images on theNote 7 Pro, and UltraHD upscaled 64 megapixel images on the Realme 3 Pro, if you want slightlymore detailed in your shots.

But to be honest, slightly more details thatthese higher resolution images have, are not worth the larger file sizes. So I suggest you go with normal 16megapixelimages on the Realme 3 Pro and 12 megapixel images on the Note 7 Pro. Coming back to colours, both do a good job,but they are a bit inconstant at representing accurate colours. Both have AI scene detection, which changesthe saturation, contrast and sharpening for every scene.

I think that is what makesthem inconsistent. Here Realme 3 pro showed natural looking colours, while the Note 7 Pro added a lot of contrast and sharpening, which made its image lookmuch harsh. In this one, both detected greenery, but theNote 7 pro delivered good colours, while the Realme 3 Pro added a green tint to the overallimage, which messed up the white balance.

There is a slight magenta tint in almost allof the images from the Note 7 Pro, which depending on your colour preferences, you may or maynot like. Leaving the slight colour inconsistenciesaside, overall images from both the phones look good, when you look at them individually. When it comes to images like these, wherethere are brighter and darker parts in the same scene, Realme 3 Pro shows a much betterdynamic range. Look at how much more details it shows inthe shadows compared to the Note 7 Pro,

while preserving most of the details in the highlights. Here, again we can see the slight magentatint in the image of the note 7 pro, and it also doesn’t bring up lot of details fromthe shadows of the trees. Shooting directly into the sun is not a goodidea, but again here you can see realme 3 pro showing better colours and more detailsin the leaves and branches of the tree. I love taking close up and macro shots, andI know many of you do too. Accurate focusing is important for these kingof shots.

Both phones do well in terms of focusing speedwhen there is plenty of light. But when the light goes down, realme 3 protakes a bit of time and a few attempts to get the focus just right. There is nothing wrong with that, but youjust need to be a bit patient with it in lower light. Once they get it right, the subject is insharp focus, and thanks to wide aperture on both, the background is nicely blurred out. Realme 3 Pro has a hair wider aperture, butthe physical size of the sensor is a bit bigger on the Note 7 pro, so the amount of blur inthe background is pretty much the same.

Just like close up shots, I also love takingportrait shots with my smartphones. Whenever there are people in the shot, I almostalways switch to the portrait mode, unless the conditions are very dark. Both the phones are very accurate with edgedetection, but If you look closer, Note 7 Pro does it slightly better. It also makes sure that the subject in focusis very sharp, while it is much softer in the image from the Realme 3 Pro. Realme shows much better dynamic range, butin most of its portrait shots, it adds a lot of saturation, making my skin tones appearorange, and trust me, that’s not original colour.

Colours from realme are much better when youtry taking portraits of objects, and I think it is more accurate at detecting the edgesof objects, than it is with humans. On the note 7 pro, you can change the amountof blur in the background of all these portrait shots, after you have clicked the images. You can also add various light trail or studiolighting effects to these portrait shots from within the gallery. You don’t get such options on the Realme3 Pro, which gives the Redmi Note 7 Pro a bit of an edge, when it comes to portraitshots.

Coming to lower and artificial lighting conditions. If you saw my dedicated camera reviews ofboth these phones, then you might know that both of them surprised me with their low lightperformance. Specially for the price at which they comein. With the auto mode, Note 7 Pro used pixelbinning, so each individual pixel captures a bit more light, making its images slightlymore detailed, which you can see as we zoom in on some of these images. But looking at these images on the screenof a smartphone, you will barely notice any difference. Both the phones offer night mode for takingeven better images in lower light. And with the night mode turned on, Realme3 Pro ends up capturing more details, and a tad bit less noise.

Night mode images from the Note 7 Pro areslightly brighter, but as we zoom in, we see the images from Realme 3 Pro showing moredetails. Here are couple of images from extreme lowlighting conditions. You could barely see anything with naked eyes, but with the night mode turned on, look at how much light both of them managed to capture. Note 7 Pro’s image is a lot softer, whilethe realme 3 Pro managed to capture sharper image, but it also added lot of noise. There is night mode on both the cameras, butplease don’t use these phones to capture images in extreme low light. This mode works best in situations where thereis some amount of ambient light. While in this mode, both the phones handleexposure from the lights much better.

That brings us to the front facing cameras. There are more details in the selfies fromthe Realme 3 Pro, and it also shows better skin tones compared to Note 7 Pro. Both have HDR mode while capturing normalselfies, But the dynamic range and colours in the background are a bit better from thefront facing camera of the Realme 3 Pro. In these images, you can clearly see thatthe note 7 Pro completely blows up the details from the highlights, while the Realme 3 Prodoes well and preserves the details in the highlights. Both let you take portrait selfies, and Ithink the edge detection is a bit more accurate on the Note 7 Pro. Blur to the background of its images alsoseem a bit more natural, whereas it looks a bit too processed and un natural in theportrait selfies from the Realme 3 Pro.

Both of them take a big hit in these situations,as neither of them offer HDR mode for these portrait selfies. Here is a video from the front facing cameraof the Realme 3 Pro and the Redmi Note 7 Pro. You can see how both these phones handle theoverall colours of the scene, exposure and stabilisation, when I am walking around withthem. Both can take 4k 30fps videos, but they don’toffer any stabilisation at this resolution.

4K videos from both the phones are over saturated. 1080p 30fps videos are electronically stabilised. Here you can see for yourself that which oneoffers better stabilisation. There are slightly more details in shadowsin Realme 3 Pro’s videos. Note 7 Pro has a weird bug where it dropsa lot of frames, while shooting videos at any resolution.

I’ve got one software update which madethings a little better, but the issue is still there. I hope Redmi Fixes it soon. Both can take 1080p slow motion videos at120fps. These videos are a bit sharper from Realme3 Pro, and you can again see the Note 7 Pro dropping lot of frames. Realme 3 pro can capture 720p 960fps superslow motion videos. But this is not true 960fps and the qualityof these videos is not that great, to be honest. Despite of this, I think that the Realme 3Pro takes better videos than the Redmi Note 7 Pro.

At least until Xiaomi releases a true fixfor the laggy videos. So after looking at all these image and videosamples, do you still think that the answer to which one takes better images, just comesdown to which sensor is better? As we saw, Realme 3 Pro even with its lowerresolution older sensor takes images which are just as good, and in some ways even betterthan the ones from the Redmi Note 7 Pro. Which one of these is a better phone for thecamera or which one should you get, is a bit subjective and depends on your requirements. Note 7 Pro is slightly better with details, tad bit faster at focusing, sharper at capturing portrait mode images, and does slightly betterwhile capturing low light images in auto mode.

If these things are what matters to you, thenRedmi Note 7 Pro looks like a better option for you. Realme 3 Pro on the other hand, shows betterdynamic range, manages to take good looking portrait images of objects, its NightScapeimages are sharper, it captures detailed selfies, its selfies also show better dynamic range, and its video performance is consistent and better than that of the Redmi Note 7 Pro. If these are the things that matter to youthe most, then go with the Realme 3 Pro. I personally choose the Redmi Note 7 Pro,just because of the fact it takes better portrait mode images, and As I said before, that isone of the main ways I take my images whenever there are people in the scene.

And other than for these camera comparisons,I don’t take a lot of images in lower light. Your needs might be different so your choicemight not be the same as mine, which is perfectly fine. Whatever your choice is, make sure to letme know in the comments. If you are still confused, I suggest you goback where the image samples started, mute the video, watch it in the highest resolutionthat your device supports, and make your decision that way.
